Class Descriptions

Aerial Yoga – In this class we will be exploring traditional circus style aerial acrobatics in a noncompetitive atmosphere, fusing elements of yoga and dance with fluidity and sensuality. The more open and free we become in our bodies the more open and free we become in our spirits. Unlock your body’s deepest treasures, tone your muscles, and uplift your spirit. No experience necessary, but it is good to have some yoga and/or fitness background.

Barre and Core- This class blends basic ballet, yoga and core (planks galore) technique to tone and lengthen your muscles while burning maximum calories.  Focusing on firming the seat, and thigh area while working on one’s postural muscles and core resulting in muscles that are long and lean.

Prime of Life Yoga Midlife America is changing! Men and women between the ages of “40 something” to “70 something” are more active and adventuresome than ever before. They represent the largest population growth segment for Yoga. This program offers an overall lifestyle approach to Yoga that includes asana that is accommodating, covering everyday biomechanics, management of common aches and pains and weight reduction with Yoga, gait training, stress reduction and sleeping tips. A balanced presentation of an online course and a four-day intensive. For Yoga teachers and students.

Restorative Yoga –  A gentle, therapeutic style of yoga to promote relaxation and prevent injuries.  Props are used in order to deepen poses and increase flexibility.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga – Based on the Ashtanga series of poses, a Vinyasa Flow class includes an inspired sequence of movements and breath to open energetic pathways and calm the mind while increasing your stamina, strength and flexibility. All teachers have their own style of teaching a Vinyasa Flow class.

Yin Yoga - Referred to as the quiet practice, this class focuses on long holds in hip openers to strengthen your connective tissue and cleanse your energetic system.

Yin/Yang Yoga – This class begins with a vigorous 45 minute vinyasa flow sequence, based closely on the Ashtanga Primary Sequence and is followed by 45 minutes of Yin Yoga.

Yoga/Workout – This class is a 75 minute stronger flow sequence mixed with various exercises focusing on abs, arms/upper body and legs. After class you will feel like you worked out at the same time you will feel replenished and rejuvenated like you do when you finish every yoga class. It is not for beginners, though you can modify your sequence.
