I have been practicing yoga on and off the mat for more than three decades. I practice yoga because I am a much better wife, mother, teacher & friend when I get the physical, mental, and emotional release that yoga offers. Breathing deeply helps me remain calm and centered reducing my reactionary impulses and practicing ahimsa (non-harming) helps me be a more compassionate human. I am inspired by the power of the personal and universal ethics laid out in the first two limbs of the eight-limbed path of yoga which serve as a guide for living my most authentic, joyful life.
I love inspiring students to explore their physical and mental boundaries by engaging in challenging poses which help students find freedom in their body, mind and breath. Witnessing students’ journeys toward personal transformation and enlightenment is a privilege and the reason I love teaching.
