Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? And the opportunity to help save the lives of a few amazing children? Well, get ready, your time has come!

Join us for a challenge you’ll remember forever. We will climb the tallest peak in all of Africa and all for MendingKids.org, an organization that provides life saving surgery to children who might otherwise perish. It is Mt Kilimanjaro and it’s peak is 19,341 ft (5895m) above sea level.

The Route:

We will embark on a 6 night / 7 day trek of the Machame Route. Ted will be our leader from the West and will provide a training program to help us all be in the proper shape for the climb. While most people understand that Kilimanjaro is the easiest of the 7 Summits, it is still one of, if not the most difficult thing, you will do in your life.

The Raise:

This is a “Climb for a Cause” so if you’re ready for the adventure, as a group, we’re going to raise $50,000 to save some lives! We plan on being a small group of 8-12 people, so we’re asking each participant to commit to raising $5000 as part of our adventure together.

The Itinerary:

Upon our arrival into Arusha on June 13, we will make last minute preparations and have our debrief. June 14-20 we will be on the mountain. Each day will be 6-9hrs of hiking except for Summit Day which is about 22hrs of hiking over a 36hr period. Again, not for the faint of heart, but rest assured, if you’re able bodied, you can do it. There have been men and women in their 80’s as well as kids as young as 8 and 9yrs old making it to Uhuru Peak.
